Slavery was legal in the 13 original colonies after the American Revaluation many of the northern States gradually moved to the emancipate their enslaves population creating and dividing between slavery in the south and free states in the north there ha always been a resistance to slavery upon those who were enslaved in Africa and African Americans in the south thise network eventually became known as the UNDER GROUND RAIL ROAD to freedom and enslaved people for the men and women and children who escaped from there slave masters as you no would use the underground railroad some made it and some didn't but that was a ROUTE TO FREEDOM.
