Slavery Life

From 1654 until 1865 slavery life was legal within the rules of the much present U.S. most slaves were black and held by whites and also some Native Americans and some fee blacks held slaves to and some white people were slaves as well but most slavery was held in the south they were used as mostly farmers they raised cotton and stuff like that 4 million slaves were held at that time and the total population was 12 million people in the 15 states in which slavery was slavery was free of all the 8,289,782 free people in those15 slaves states 393,967 people 4.8% held slaves.
